The Tempest

Class project - a conceptual set design for William Shakespeare's The Tempest, focusing on Prospero's speech at the end asking for the audience's forgiveness (and implied acceptance) of his actions throughout the show. The audience would sit in a circle facing out, forcing them to sometimes not see the action of the play and instead focus solely on the words. An ultimate goal would have been for the audience to not feel as though they had to applaud at the end of the show.
